I love computers and technology and am passionate about both internet security/information assurance and cybersecurity. I am looking for a position that will help me build general IT skills, familiarity with networks, and that will lead into a position in network, web, or application security. I am currently enrolled at Catawba Valley Community College, completing an AAS in Web Technology this Spring (2015), and will be completing additional degrees in Information Systems Security & Computer Information Technology (and possibly networking; only need 2 more classes for it) in Spring or Summer 2016, along with an Orcale Database Certification. I am the vice-president of the CVCC Computer Information Systems Security club, a member of the school's CCDC (Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition) team, and a National Cyber League competitor.After graduating at CVCC, my plan is to find full-time employment and possibly transfer and pursue a degree in Computer Information Technology or Computer Engineering (because I am also interested in embedded systems and security issues pertaining to them). I am open to internships and/or full- or part-time offers now in the IT or computer security fields, as long as they will allow me to finish school. I like solving puzzles, taking things apart and seeing how they work, making them work in new and interesting ways, keeping other people from stopping them from working, and teaching or explaining to others how to do all of the above.
